According to Peng Ying, Brand Management Director at Sunward, the company has set up dedicated remanufacturing facilities for used equipment. After reconditioning and refurbishment, these machines are offered to countries along the Belt and Road at superior cost-performance ratios.
Between October and December 2022, the Changsha Pilot Free Trade Zone exported RMB 178 million worth of used construction machinery to 15 countries, including India, Vietnam, and Uzbekistan. In response to actual business demand, nearly 20 additional companies have been brought into the Zone this year to participate in pilot export transactions of used equipment.
Going forward, the Changsha Pilot Free Trade Zone plans to establish a streamlined public service platform, a centralized used equipment trading center, and a large-scale remanufacturing and export base. The goal is to position Hunan as a globally recognized and nationally leading hub for the construction machinery aftermarket, with the strategic ambition of gradually building the used construction machinery export sector into a RMB 100-billion-level industry.
